Tim and I decided to take the family up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Sliver Lake. It is a great little lake with a boardwalk around it to protect the marshes. It is also right next to the parking lot- no big hike in- which makes it perfect for our family. There aren't many places like this that are super "three-toddler family" friendly. Alix is our little adventurer. She loved exploring and trying to climb the trees. She was constantly running and we did our best to keep up. She loves being outdoors! She is also super excited to tell her Kindergarten class about her trip. Really it only about a 30 minute drive from our house to the top of the canyon, but it is world away to hear the way she talks. :)
