18 Month Check-up

Even though we're a bit early, we did the twins' 18 month check up today. I was a little nervous, especially with Miriam since her last two experiences at the doctor's office involved ivs and MULTIPLE sticks. When we first undressed her, she was happy to be naked, surprise surprise. And then, the nurse came at her with a stethascope and the screaming started... She actually calmed down better and sooner than I though she would though.



Okay, stats--- Miriam is 29 1/2 inches tall, and weighs 20 lbs 2 oz

Bethany is 29 1/2 inches tall, and weighs 19 lbs 15 oz
( that puts them in the 3% for height, 5% for weight)



Can we say THE SAME SIZE? In fact the nurse was laughing because when she did their pulse and respiration rates, they were exactly the same. For two little girls that have such different personalities, it really is amazing how similar they are physically :)



After the doctor left, ALix knew the nurse would be coming in to do shots. As soon as the door opened, Alix saw the nurse, and this is what we got in response.





If you look carefully, you will notice that she is not only covering her eyes, but she is using her thumbs to fold her ears. She didn't want to watch OR hear..........
