On July 4th, Tim's niece walked in the Sandy City Parade with her Girl Scout Troop. We went over to his parent's house for a bar-be-que and to hang out until it was time for the parade.
This is Alix relaxing with Papa in the new hammock we all went in on for Father's Day.

This is Papa with Bethany and Miriam. This was definitely the "cool" place to be. The girls would leave for a minute, get a bite of food, and go back. Or they would leave, get on the trampoline for a minute or two, and go back....
This is us at the parade. We got a really nice spot, right along the curb- front row. The only reason Miriam and Bethany weren't out in the street the whole time is because of the monkeys. They got a TON of candy.... and since we were really close to the corner where there was more room, a lot of the groups stopped and did their performances for us. The girls all LOVED the motorcycle cops, and they did lots of tricks for us.
Miriam looking cool in Mommy's sunglasses.... I had a hard time getting them back :)
Daddy's glasses got highjacked too...
We had planned to drop the little girls off at home with my parents and then take Alix to fireworks. However, she fell asleep in the car, and we couldn't get her up for ANYTHING. We really did try, but there was no way she was going to wake up. Good thing Utah has fireworks again a few weeks later :)

Oh, I love patriotic holidays. And I will always, always think of the SUPER-DUPLA when I sing the national anthem.
