This is the splint Miriam had to wear from Thursday June 25th when we got the xrays taken until Monday June 29th when she got the real cast. And just so you know, she got really good at pulling off the ace bandage... I had to use Coban to cover the metal clips and then masking tape to keep her from getting to them. She got pretty good at pulling the bandage off over her fingertips and unwinding it that way too. And unfortunately, there wasn't much I could do to stop that one...
Here's the cast about an hour after she got it. She walked around for awhile very careful with it, and then she started hitting it on things because it made noise.

And here she is at the doctor's office just before we cut the thing off.

This is the big bad machine they used to cut off the cast, and let me tell you Miriam HATED it! She was absolutely paniced when they turned it on and came at her with it....
This is what her arm looked like afterward. I know it is hard to see, but she actually had the imprint of the padding fabric in her arm, not just pushed in, but the lines were actually a tiny bit bloody, and her wrist was split. She also had a big sore on her pinky from where the cast rubbed.

The poor thing! She started hitting it on things?! That is so funny. She must be 2.
